Packing Your Instrument for Shipping

Packing Suggestions:

  • It's always best to pack your instrument in its case.

  • Within the case, padding such as bubble wrap or paper towels work well for cushioning the bridge and tailpiece if the instrument is set up.

  • Pack your case in a box surrounded by packing material, so the case doesn't move around during transit.

  • Box should be sturdy, well taped and marked "fragile" on all sides.

  • Bows should be packed in a sturdy packing tube large enough to allow for bubble wrap around the bow and lots of packing peanuts.

  • Please make sure to write your full return address on the outside of the package, and enclose your full contact information (address, phone numbers, full name) and the specific issues you wish to have addressed inside the package.

  • Insure your package, and ship via a carrier such as UPS or FedEx, which provides a tracking number.
