String Instrument Rentals

Comparing notes at a fiddle festivalLearning from one another in Mt. AiryWith our flexible rental programs, it's easy to begin playing a string instrument. With approved credit, you can take home an instrument and build up equity towards an instrument purchase as you make low monthly payments. Take advantage of our rental insurance program to protect your rental investment against accidental damage. You won't be locked into a long rental period; simply rent the instrument for as long as you need it. We rent quality instruments which are guaranteed to meet your teacher's expectations. All instruments are fully carved (except bass) and come with a wooden or fiberglass bow with horsehair. All instruments feature quality ebony fittings and are adjusted to high standards. Quite simply, our goal is to have the finest rentals at the best prices available. Here's how it works:

Build up equity while you rent!

Rental Plan: 100% of the rent paid during your first year and 50% of rent paid during following years may be applied towards the purchase of any instrument or bow in our shop. Rental insurance is not included in calculating equity. A credit check will be required before participating in our rental program.

Trade-in or return of instruments:

When you rent an instrument from us, you will be playing on a clean, well-adjusted instrument with fresh strings and bow hair. To help cover the costs of keeping these instruments in top shape while keeping prices low, it is necessary for us to charge a refurbishing fee when an instrument is returned. This fee may be waived if the instrument is returned in perfect condition. If an instrument not covered by insurance is returned with damage present, you will be charged for the cost of any needed repairs.

Rental Insurance: Protect your investment

You do your best to care for your rental instrument, but when routine maintenance is required, or if accidental damage does occur, then your rental insurance will pay for itself. With our insurance plan, most routine maitnenance such as sound adjustment, peg adjustment, and fingerboard maintenance are performed at no charge. Any accidental damage is repaired at no charge. The only items not covered by insurance are broken strings and bow rehairs. Insurance will not cover damage due to intentional misuse, abuse, or negligence. In the event of a broken bow, we may, at our discretion, replace the broken bow with a more durable fiberglass bow.
