Instrument & Bow Trades:
Any instrument or bow originally purchased from us may be returned for credit towards the purchase of another instrument or bow of equal or greater value. The credit will be determined as follows:

Percent of original price credited =
50% x (new item price / orig. item price)

As per the above formula, you will be credited up to 100% of the original purchase price of your old instrument or bow, less any service charges.

Service charges may be deducted from the credit as shown below. These charges help to cover some of the costs of refurbishing a used instrument or bow including new strings or bow hair, cleaning, adjustment, or bow grip replacement. If your instrument or bow has suffered excessive damage or wear, the cost of repairs will be deducted from your credit.

Any instrument or bow purchased from us will be accepted for consignment sale if in good condition. We also accept in trade instruments and bows purchased elsewhere, however the credit may be less than shown above.

Returns:
Any merchandise may be returned without damage or wear within 30 days of purchase for any reason, except for instruments or bows which have been on trial or were purchased entirely with rental credits, which may not be returned except in trade for another instrument or bow. For returns of a purchase made with a credit card, a 3% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund. For refunds of $100 or more, it may be necessary for us to mail your refund by check within 10 business days. Merchandise may be returned within 60 days for a store credit except shoulder rests. Merchandise may not be returned after 90 days for any reason, except for instruments or bows returned in trade for another instrument or bow. Strings, once they have been installed on an instrument, may not be returned unless defective but unbroken. Rosin which has been used may not be returned unless defective. Sheet music or recordings may not be returned unless defective.

Warranty:
We stand behind our repairs, restorations, and we stand behind all the products we sell or rent. We hope you will be satisfied with your purchase. But occasionally, things break or cease to function properly. For this reason, we have developed a warranty policy which is both helpful and fair. Please remember that any item returned more than 30 days after purchase for any reason, may be returned only for store credit. Any instrument or bow requiring warranty service must be returned to our shop for service. We cannot reimburse you for repairs made by another dealer unless you have received prior approval from us.

Repairs:
Gluing repairs of seams or cracks which are not internally reinforced are warranted for one year against failure during normal use.
Major gluing repairs, including neck resets, fingerboards, and internally reinforced cracks are warranted against failure during normal use for as long as you own the instrument.
Adjustments are warranted against negative change for 90 days. Adjustments can change due to weather fluctuations, loss of string tension, mechanical shock, and other factors. Bridges are not warranted against warpage due to failure to maintain the correct bridge angle.
Bow rehairs are warranted against failure of the knots or blocks during normal use. Rehairs are not warranted against insect damage, hair breakage or wear due to use, or hair stretch due to humidity and/or usage.

Instruments and bows.
All instruments or bows valued at $100 or more are warranted against failures in material or workmanship, including adjustment for one year unless otherwise labeled. Strings are not included in this warranty.
